As a multidisciplinary artist, all of Nancy Martini's art practices have the common element of promoting environmental issues. She has an extensive background working as a freelance graphic designer and creative director for over 25 years. Martini studied Graphic Design at the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In 2008, she started creating fine art paintings and sculptures and began exhibiting her work in group and solo exhibitions. Her eco sculptures have been exhibited locally in exhibits from The Coral Gables Museum to internationally as far away as Hong Kong.
In 2013, she began to explore porcelain as a medium and discovered a passion for creating small works that were affordable, utilitarian and still had an environmental message. From this exploration began the creation of The Green Hand Company: an online store that features handmade dinnerware and gifts made locally from start to finish by Nancy Martini.
The porcelain items featured in The Green Hand Company online store are part of her Biscayne Bay Collection. The collection is white on white distressed porcelain reflecting distressed and endangered flowers and native plants of Florida through the subtle imagery carved on the vessels.
